Valle Crucis School Welcomes You!
From the Principal's Desk!

Weekly Update August 25th - August 29th

It was another great week at Valle Crucis School. We had a great turn out at Open house and some of the Valle Crucis faculty and staff participated in the ALS ice bucket challenge. Students in the Pre-K program attended Valle Crucis for the first time this week on a staggered schedule, with the full class set to begin this coming week. All of our kindergarten students had class together for the first time this year on Monday, August 25th. Our teachers are continuing to implement instruction into the classroom complemented by engaging strategies and activities. Many of our students have begun to participate in extracurricular activities such as football, volleyball, etc. As always please visit our webpage to stay up to date on the wonderful things taking place at our school. Follow us on facebook and twitter (@ValleCrucisSch). Click here to find more details about the great activities and lessons that took place in our classrooms during the course of the past week.á

Interested in helping a VCS student?

Ms. Eyler in our middle school was recently provided with a subscription for electronic middle school level books that also include audio for helping struggling readers.  The books can be downloaded to an IPod Touch for the students.

If you have upgraded a device at home and have an IPod Touch OR an Iphone that is no longer used, we could really use the donation of your old device to be able to take advantage of these books.  Contact Ms. Eyler or Ms. Carroll if you are interested in this project - and THANKS!!
PARENTS, K-8:

If you did not pick up a letter with your login for the parent portal into PowerSchool,
you may pick it up in person from the office.
Because we always need to protect your child's privacy,
we must ask that you do this in person.  Thank you!
