Back 2 School Festival - August 9, 2014 - 10-3 at WHS
The Back 2 School Festival is a collaborative event organized by The Children’s Council, WYN, Hospitality House, Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge, Quiet Givers and Watauga County Schools.  B2SF was created to lift the heavy financial burden that back-to-school shopping creates for local families. When families are unable to afford supplies the responsibility often falls on faculty and staff and can leave the child feeling insecure or inadequate.  B2SF welcomes any organizations or individual to join our efforts in serving our students and teachers through this festival.  This is an open community event.  Please click here to visit the B2SF website for more information about registering your child to participate or helping with the event: http://www.back2schoolfestival.org/

Interested in helping a VCS student?

Ms. Eyler in our middle school was recently provided with a subscription for electronic middle school level books that also include audio for helping struggling readers.  The books can be downloaded to an IPod Touch for the students.

If you have upgraded a device at home and have an IPod Touch OR an Iphone that is no longer used, we could really use the donation of your old device to be able to take advantage of these books.  Contact Ms. Eyler or Ms. Carroll if you are interested in this project - and THANKS!!
PARENTS, K-8:

If you did not pick up a letter with your login for the parent portal into PowerSchool,
you may pick it up in person from the office.
Because we always need to protect your child's privacy,
we must ask that you do this in person.  Thank you!
