Valle Crucis School
|Interested in helping a VCS student?
Ms. Eyler in our middle school was recently provided with a subscription for electronic middle school level books that also include audio for helping struggling readers. The books can be downloaded to an IPod Touch for the students.
If you have upgraded a device at home and have an IPod Touch that can access the Internet that is no longer used, we could really use the donation of your old device to be able to take advantage of these books. Contact Ms. Eyler or Ms. Burton if you are interested in this project - and THANKS!!
If you did not pick up a letter with your login for the parent portal into PowerSchool, you may pick it up in person from the office beginning Nov. 8. Some parents met with teachers early and did not have an opportunity to get this information since it was not available yet.
Because we always need to protect your child's privacy, we must ask that you do this in person. Thank you!
| Ms. Huffman would like to thank parents for all the recycled items they have donated to the art room; however the response has been overwhelming and she is out of storage room!!
Consumable items such as clorox wipes, kleenex and sharpies are still needed.
Congratulations to Mac Waters,
Watauga County Spelling Bee Champion. !!!

ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTSIs your middle school student interested in the opportunity of a lifetime? On this opportunity () students will zipline through the jungle treetops on an exhilarating tour of the canopy, embark on a whitewater rafting adventure, hike through the cloud forest of the hardened lava flows of the Arenal Volcano (a 4,000 year- old active volcano), get up-close and personal with the wildlife, become scientists as they conduct experiments, and have an incredible time with their friends! All students have received an informational packet which includes information about cost, scholarships, sample itinerary, and more. Please contact Mrs. Clark with any questions.
